FOR THE LOVE OF CHEESE

There are few things I love more than France and cheese.

When you combine them, you get Chevre.

Chevre is made from fresh goats milk, and since I love useless cheese facts, I have to tell you one more thing.

There are about 1,2000 varieties of cheese in France, and the average Frenchman eats 52 lbs of cheese in one year.

Ok, two. But holy crap that’s a lot of cheese.

Last week my friend Melanie and I made Chevre.

Melanie gets up at 5am every morning to milk her goats. Then she carries the milk from her milking shed to her home, and makes it into the most amazing creations.

Cheese, bread, butter, soap, and kefir.

Do you even know what creating real, locally sourced, organic food does for my soul?

It’s more than a spark of joy.

It’s an inferno.

It probably has everything to do with Brene Brown’s 10 guideposts for wholehearted living.

Brene and I know that creativity is as important as breathing air.

It’s a vital part of living well.

So what do you love to create?

What lights you up and makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning?

If you haven’t figured it out, it might be time.
