MY JUNK

It was Saturday afternoon and I had already spent half the day trying to clean out the junk in my garage.

So much frustration, so much overwhelm, and maybe a few tears.

I was completely out of my league.

Then I found Kim.

Kim is a professional organizer who has helped hundreds of people clean their garages, and I knew she was capable of helping me with mine too.

Kim walked into my complete mess, looked it up and down, and cheerfully said, “This is not a problem.”

Then she rolled up her sleeves and dug in.

She made piles, filled totes, and labeled bins.

She helped me decide which things I wanted to keep and which things weren’t necessary for me to hold onto anymore.

In a few short hours we pulled off something inexplicable. Something you’d have to see to believe.

For the first time in ten years I grabbed my keys and pulled the car into the garage.

I sat there for a minute and I felt some pride and satisfaction I hadn’t felt in a long time.

All that junk in my garage reminded me of the junk that was in my mind before I hired a life coach.

I remembered the overwhelm and the frustration.

I remember the tears.

I remember thinking I might never be able to figure out the mess I was in.

But I was wrong.

My coach rolled up her sleeves and got to work. She helped me look at all my old beliefs.

She helped me decide which ones to keep and which ones to throw out.

Some of my thoughts were easy to let go of.

Some of them were hard.

But my coach was in it with me, every step of the way, and she helped guide me to a clear, peaceful mind.

Peace and clarity is available to you too.

What are you waiting for?
