Do you remember Fear Factor? The show hosted by Joe Rogan, where people would take on the most terrifying challenges, for the chance to win fifty thousand dollars?
The man buried in a pit of boa constrictors, the lady laying in a scorpion nest, and what about the guy who drank freshly blended maggot juice? Just watching the show was enough to keep us sleeping with one eye open.
So why are there people in this world who are willing to go on national television and face their deepest fears, while there are people (like ME) who wouldn’t entertain doing it for all the money in the world?
You wanna know the answer?
The people on Fear Factor know a secret.
They know that the worst thing that can happen to them is one simple thing.
A feeling.
And they’re willing to feel it.
They’re willing to feel the terror, the anxiety, the pressure, the nervousness, the thrill, and the panic.
All of it.
They’re willing to be completely out of their minds uncomfortable, for a chance to win fifty thousand dollars.
While I can assure you I will not be zipped into a body bag of cockroaches or eating sheep eyeballs any time soon, I have asked myself,
what am I willing to be uncomfortable for?
Some of us have gone to great lengths our whole lives to be comfortable and we can’t imagine being uncomfortable, on purpose.
This is why we need a coach.
A coach can help us see why we’ve spent so much time and effort trying to stay comfortable, and how comfort is actually keeping us stuck in places we don’t want to be.
Take a moment to think about the current status of your relationships. Your spouse, your kids, your extended family members?
What is your relationship with money, or time?
Are you enjoying the happiness and peace you desire?
Do you have the time and energy to do what you’ve always dreamed of doing at this phase of life?
Why not?
A life coach can lovingly help you see that discomfort is the currency for growth. She can help you take a look at the feelings you’ve been avoiding your whole life, and help you see that they’re not as scary as you thought.
Are you willing to be uncomfortable if it means enjoying the life you’ve always dreamed of?
Because I’m here to tell you, the only difference between people who get what they want, and people who don’t is one thing.
DISCOMFORT.
Are you ready to get uncomfortable? I can show you how.
